One and Only Mandarina is in a league of its own. Situated on the Mandarina complex which boasts over 600 acres, this property is a jungle in paradise. From the moment that you arrive you are treated like royalty. You are greeted by a host who offers you a welcome drink and a relaxing seat. You check-in and await your golf cart driver. Since the property is so big you can arrange to have a golf cart buggy for transportation or you can opt to walk from place to place. However, keep in mind that the terrain is very hilly so for some walking will not be an option.
All of the villas on the property are very spacious and well appointed. Your villa is stocked with drinks and snacks. There is an indoor and outdoor shower and most villas have a large terrace with a private pool. There are villas for every traveler and my favorite villa was Villa One which costs 38k a night during high season.
There are activities on property for travelers of all ages including an awesome kids club where kids can not only play but also learn. Mr. Luis is the onsite biologist and can tell you everything you need to know about the resident insects and animals. I enjoyed learning from him and concluded that he is brilliant! There is also an equestrian center, ziplining, the spa, and much more to enjoy.
There are several different restaurants on property. My favorite was the Jetty because of the beachside views. I enjoyed my tacos and the drinks at the restaurant were the best on property. At Alma there is live music regularly and the entertainers were a treat.
The service overall was very accommodating. Anything that you ask for, they will do their best to meet your request. You are assigned a private butler and this helps to ensure that your vacation experience meets all of your needs.
